Kaelen
The Veil-Speaker of Netharis
The Sole Voice of a Silent Order
Deep beneath the cobblestones, sewers, and cellar vaults of West Point lies Netharis, a drowned, forgotten realm of colossal ruins, shattered colonnades, and dark waters. For generations, the monastic order of the Silent Watchers has guarded these ancient subterranean avenues under an inviolable vow of total silence. All except Kaelen.
The Mark of the Eye
Bearing an eye-shaped glyph etched upon the skin of her inner forearm, her dark hair shorn close in the ascetic tradition, Kaelen wears grey vestments lined with interconnected silver glyphs that softly pulse in dark corridors. As the ordained Veil-Speaker, she alone is granted permission by the elder Veilmaster to break the sacred hush and converse with surface dwellers when the balance between realms is threatened.
The Shadow Meld & Ancient Archives
Kaelen acts as an archivist of the Archives of Shadows, preserving forgotten cartography and civilisations that predate West Point. Trained in the soundless Shadow Meld martial discipline, she moves through darkness without disturbing the air, capable of neutralizing hostile intruders before a blade can clear its scabbard.
The Voice of the Many
While calm, empathetic, and gentle in manner, Kaelen commands a terrifying secret power. In times of supreme peril, she can channel the Voice of the Many, a harmonic sonic incantation carrying the combined psychic weight of her entire silent brotherhood, unleashing a concussive shockwave capable of dropping an entire room of adversaries to their knees.
Quote
“We prefer the way of silence, but sometimes words are required to maintain balance in the Netharis.”
