The Halfling Who Wouldn't Die

Nimbo Dee has survived cursed crypts, vengeful queens, and dozens of overambitious adventuring parties that never made it home. Known across tavern songs as the "Luck-Thief of the East," he traded the road for what he wanted most: a quiet family life and an adventuring supply shop in the Low City of West Point, selling rope, tallow candles, and pitons to greenhorns.

The Flying Carpet & The Sigil Scar

His shop’s name is no whimsical metaphor: an authentic, volatile djinn flying carpet remains bolted beneath his oak floorboards, and the arcane warding sigils that bound it are permanently burned into the skin of his shoulders. Nimbo swears his heist days are behind him, yet his eyes never stop calculating ceiling heights, patrol intervals, and secondary escape routes.

Pulled Back Into the Game

A quiet retirement rarely lasts when ancient powers stir. When a high-stakes burglary at the warded spire of dark sorcerer Malachar Veyneth spirals into mayhem, Nimbo is thrown headlong into the crosshairs of ruthless syndicates and terrifying shadow beasts. To protect those he loves, the halfling must dust off old skills and plunge deep into the perilous underbelly of West Point.

Tricks, Runes, and True Seeing

Underestimating Nimbo is usually a fatal error. Armed with his enchanted Ring of True Seeing (which cuts through magical illusions, concealed doors, and lethal traps) and Exploder, a shortsword carved with twelve explosive runes ready to detonate on command, Nimbo proves that agility, experience, and sheer audacity can outwit the darkest sorcery.

A Grudge with Death

Cutpurses whisper of the siege of Greyharp decades ago, where Nimbo stood face-to-face with a Lesser Reaper in a crumbling cathedral and walked away breathing. Underworld legend holds that Death knows his face personally, and is waiting patiently for the Luck-Thief’s luck to finally run dry.

Quote

“I’ve escaped dragons, cults, and queens. A bit of street trouble? Please.”
